Causes of Night Sweating

Excessive sweating overnight can be incredibly uncomfortable. Your sheets and clothing can become dampened and damaged, you might wake up feeling excessively cold or hot as a result of it, and it will cause constant issues with sleep. If you’re suffering from chronic night sweats, it’s important to understand that you are not alone, as a 2002 study found that night sweats had affected as many as 41 percent of participants in the past month. Often, when night sweats are happening regularly, it is a hormonal problem. In fact, it can often be a result of a malfunction of the part of the brain that controls temperature, thus creating an imbalance and producing the uncomfortable perspiration.
